Custom fields

The content to be published is stored in custom fields in the Pressconline’s CMS database. Each custom field has its own automatically assigned ID, which ensures the possibility of elementary search functions of the resulting repository data content.

Custom fields are predefined content units with a specific property in a given repository. These can be different free-word fields (e.g. title, introduction, body text, etc.) or fields with a value that can be used as a filtering condition in closed lists (e.g. name, date, number, etc.).

These custom fields are used to compose the repository-specific content types that provide the content structure templates for each subpage of the repository for display.

Selecting a content type in the administration interface of a repository displays the editing interfaces for the custom fields that make up the content type: here you can upload new content or edit content that has already been uploaded to the system.

A repository can contain any number of predefined custom fields. New custom fields can be added to a repository at a later stage by enhancing that repository.
